Another customer literally uses our process control plan to bypass their
need for receiving inspection. We submit a process control plan, work out a
set of quality standards and jointly review a series of production runs.
Once our process controls are accepted, we ship
directly from our shop floor to our customer's assembly operation. Again, they save the
inspection costs and the time between our shop and their finished product.
And we earn the right to serve another customer.
Average savings? May not be much in direct part costs, but they see it
